Pork shoulder

Don't laugh, lol. I am putting a pork shoulder in the crock pot for the first time. Does it matter of the meat side or the skin side goes down,thanks!

It doesn't matter! I LOVE pork done in the crockpot....yummy!!!

It doesn't matter. And stick a bay leaf or two in there if you have them - it really brings out the flavor.

That is what I am doing! My mom made one the other day when we over and it smelled soooo good. I almost asked if we could stay and eat

it Doesnt Matter which side BUT I do have to say putting it Fat side UP makes it easier to Pull the chunk of Fat OUT when it melts down so your not Fishing around in your Crock

I do. All it really does is enhance the flavor of the pork. I just pull them out before I put the BBQ sauce on.
