Randome things that parents do that are annoying

I have three kids and a daycare and have never buried my face in some kids backside in order to check the diaper status. Its weird and gross to me and bothers me every time I see someone do it. Another friend of mine does this and again, makes a huge show of lifting baby way up high and sniffing over and over.....she could have changed the diaper in the time it takes her to decide the outcome of the sniff test!

DS gets his diaper changed about 20 - 30 minutes before I pick him up from daycare and about once a week, he'll leave me a present right before I get there and the teacher didn't know that he did, so it's kind of become our routine when I pick him up. I'll bring his bottom up and give it a big sniff. He giggles and, if he's not stinky, off we go. But if he doesn't pass the stink test, he'll get changed there because we have about a 20 minute drive home

That is what annoys me. Just because you don't take care of your teeth does not mean you cant take care of your children's.

My sister works in a pediatric dental office too and tells me all kinds of stories like this. Lots of times they have to send the child to the actual hospital to be put under for dental treatment because it's so bad. It makes me so sad too.

Along these lines, we have friends who make empty threats all the time and I have to bite my tongue. Like, if their 4 year old isn't getting his shoes on when they're leaving our house, she'll say, "If you don't get your shoes on right now we'll never come to H's Mom's house ever again!!" Or she'll threaten to take him right back home two minutes right after we get to the park when we all know darn well that they're going to stay. Part of me wants so badly to explain to her that he doesn't obey her because the consequences aren't realistic, the other part makes me keep quiet.

When parents tell their children "NO that is a boy/girl toy"

I have seen this on many occassions. We had a playdate at my house and my girls are the only girls in our playgroup. A few moms over and over said "That is a girl toy, oh that is for girls... etc"

I will say we almost always have a snack at the park, but we also walk two miles to the park and plan for a snack there. Then we walk two miles back home.

One of my pet peeves is parents who CONSTANTLY complain about their kids. I don't mean a here or there comment because every parent needs to rant once in a while. I'm talking the ones that hardly have a nice thing to say about their kids. I have one mom on my facebook that truly breaks my heart because it is just one comment after another about how much her baby bugs her. First she complained that the daughter was feverish, then her daughter is feverish because she's cutting teeth and crying a lot, then her daughter is so upset that she won't fall asleep without being held. Not once did the mom acknowledge the poor girls discomfort, it was all me me me and how it was inconveniencing her from sleeping or being able to do what she wanted to do.

I am also bothered by parents who let their kids sit in saggy filled sposies for hours on end. And the parents that go out in the fall/winter fully bundled but their babies are barely wearing anything.

I always sniff diapers! Who doesn't sniff diapers? DH looks in the leg hole and I do occasionally look in the back if the sniff is inconclusive. I always tell DH he is stretching out the elastic by looking in the leg hole.

A pet peeve of mine is someone with a small "baby" walking in a store being drug by their arm. I hate that. They always look so miserable and when they fall their arms get twisted around and the moms always seem to be angry with them.

Parents who don't parent their children on playgrounds. When there are 3 kids waiting to go down the slide, don't let your child run up the slide! Dont let them throw rocks and sticks and yes, they do have to let the other kids on the play structure! Get off your darned cell phone and watch your own darned kids!

oh, I know. I found this thing on pinterest, it says:
'your child is not giving you a hard time,
your child is having a hard time'.

I remember this on days when DD is extra exhausting. She's not purposefully doing this to irritate me. She's having a rough time and needs a little more patience.

Although, they are always healthier snacks, we bring snacks everywhere. For such tiny kids, my kids EAT (Must be that all three of them NEVER. STOP. MOVING.) We will eat lunch, where they will all have large 3rds, then within an hour or two, they are hungry! And I mean, they are all tiny, super healthy little kids. And they out eat us some meals (once again, luckily it is healthy). but I mean, my 7 year old wears 5ts, my almost 5 year old wears 3ts, and my 3 year old is in 24M...and they are slender...and my oldest is jacked! My husband is jealous! LOL. (sorry...that was long).

But for us, that's how it is. Why you need to bring a new bag of ginormous doritos, then have your two kids polish off the bag within an hour though? No clue.

Yelling, spanking, threats, texting instead of watching them, acting like they are a bother to them if they come and ask for a drink or need to go to the bathroom, smoking by their kids (or mine, yuck), leaving their cig butts on the playground/beach, ignoring their kids.
