On Monday the 9th I started having irregular contractions. I had a chiro appointment scheduled that day and so I had him do a little acupuncture to kinda jump start labor. By 5 that evening, I was having regular contractions, but they weren't super painful. I put everyone on alert and rested, bathed and timed contractions. As the evening went one the contractions got closer together, but not any stronger. Finally contractions were 2-3 minutes apart lasting at least one minute each. We headed to the hospital t midnight. Got there and got checked in only to find I was at a 2 maybe 3. Dr asked what I wanted to do, I wanted to walk to see if I could get things going. So DH and I walked and walked and walked! Even the nurses were commenting on it the next day.
I still hadn't progressed so my Dr came in to break my water. Once that was done, she wouldn't leave the hospital because she thought I would go fast. I didn't budge! So after 22 hours of labor, she wanted to give me pitocin. My natural birth plan flew out the window, I didn't want pitocin with out it. BTDT
I got an epidural and pitocin and was complete in just over an hour!
We waited for the Dr and once she got there, I pushed a few times and after 24 hours of labor, Zoe was born! I watched the whole birth in a mirror. That was the coolest thing! I got to watch my daughter come into the world!
After some awesome skin to skin time complete with nursing, we found out that Zoe was 7lbs 5oz and 20 1/2 inches long.
We are home now and both are doing great!!

Congratulations on your new bundle of joy! Sorry hour birth plan didnt go as expected but I'm glad you have a healthy baby girl
