Confessionsofahomeschooler/LOTW? Too Much Waste/Printing ??
It seems <--- scratch that, it is a lot of 1. Print, 2. Cut 3. Laminate, 4. Cut.
Is there a way to cut down on this and use any tricks? DD has speech issues and I w ant to try and head those off, we are just getting everything started to start. I don't know how I am going to keep up with the printing and etc. I wanted most of it laminated bc I have Mr. Destructive two year old.... |

Re: Confessionsofahomeschooler/LOTW? Too Much Waste/Printing ??
If you use a hot laminator, you only cut once. Print, laminate, and then cut. Also, Confessions said she doesn't print everything. She doesn't print all the numbered floor tiles, which means you can save 250 pages if you only print one set.
I put in the time because I have four children to use it, but don't know if I would if only had one or two. I also only do a few week's worth (so 2-3 letters) at a time. I buy my lamination sheets from here, and get the boxes of paper when they on sale for $15. I believe that Staples or office max is having a sale like that now. Also, your printer will make all the difference. Ours is a small office printer that gets something like 1100 sheets (b&w) per cartridge at $38 a cartridge. I'm not sure about the color details. Here's the link to her money saving suggestions. Last edited by Britches~in~Stitches; 07-14-2012 at 09:19 AM. |
