What would you think if you saw a pregnant woman with an e-cigarette?

I would think that if she had to continue her nicotine habit, that this is WAY healthier for her and the baby. While the best thing would be for her to quit nicotine completely, this is at least less harmful to her and baby than a "real" cigarette is.

My DH has switched to an E-cigarette and that's how I feel.. it's healthier for him, it's healthier for the rest of us, and he doesn't stink anymore.

I feel very ambivalent about this. On one hand trying to quit is awsome, on the other we have no long term information on e-cigs and the production of the liquid for them is not well controlled. It could be worst for a pregnant woman we don't 100% know.

in canada our e-cigs are nicotine free. heck, i steal my friends now and again because the peach smoke one is delicious.

I'll be honest, I would be very judgmental. i think smoking cigs is gross to begin with, but i find it so wrong when i see a woman who is clearly pregnant and still hasn't taken the effort to drop the habit. i would not feel any different about an e-cig. nicotine is bad for the baby, and while it's better than a real cig, it's still not healthy at all.

I voted negative. Mark used an E-cig before and his looks just like a real cigarette. It didn't last long for him he's just really got a nasty bad habit yuck!
Anyway I voted negative because I used to smoke before I got pregnant with dd1 and honestly quitting was just the right thing to do as it wasn't just me to think about any longer but that's just my opinion

I'd probably assume that meant the mama was trying to quit and think positively about it. While it might be preferable if she just quit outright, not everyone can go cold turkey, and the ecig and attempt to quit are far better than continuing with regular cigarettes.
