Re: Cotton Babies Controversy
I had a brand new 4.0 with a leg elastic that became detached in the first wash (this was maybe 2 months ago). I paid to return it, they sent a new one back along with a couple of little freebies to cover my cost of shipping. Quick turn-around time. I'm satisfied.

Re: Cotton Babies Controversy
Hmm... I hope they can get it worked out. I've always thought CB was a great company and have never had anything but great CS from them in the 5-6 years I've been shopping there. However I have never needed to use a warranty so that may be a different story.

I won't buy from them anymore either. I have had several issues with them. I had 4 of 6 BG XS that leaked right through the PUL but I use Tide and hot water so they would do anything about those. I had a flip that the elastic came undone after the first wash and they refused to replace it unless I paid to return it to them even though there was a known issue at the time.

Re: Cotton Babies Controversy
My recently new flip lovelace cover tells me to wash in 100 degree water... not hot. I have never had any problems with them and love their products! Diaper junction on the other hand..

Re: Cotton Babies Controversy
Great products that have held up well but I have never tested the warranty. VERY disappointed to hear that there are issues. They have such great products, Im surprised they dont back them.

Re: Cotton Babies Controversy
I was very disappointed whit the whole washing temperature thing as well. Hot does not mean 100 degrees.
But Flips are my favorite cover so I bought a bunch of seconds that have no warranty in the first place. I am hesitant to buy anything else from them though. My BGEs are wearing out, and I need some new ones, but I may go with Swaddlebees instead.

Re: Cotton Babies Controversy
I am needing to get more pockets/aio's to have enough for ds and baby that isn't here yet, and this has caused me to decide on going with swaddlebees/blueberry for the rest...I have tried their CS and they paid for shipping, and sent me a new dipe, no problem. In fact, they were wonderful.
If I'm going to pay that kind of money, I expect a usable warranty. I just got some snap ez trainers and they specifically say to use hot washes for best results and to ry on high, lol. Of course, I live in a hot climate and air drying woul void a 100 degree warranty...

Re: Cotton Babies Controversy
Washing in 100 degree water is bunk and they know it. I understand if they said 120 and not higher but 100?!? As the above poster pointed out, the temperature outside could exceed 100 degrees. Are you supposed to take off the child's diaper when you leave the house so that the diaper isn't exposed to the extreme temps?
I wash in hot and use Tide so none of my CB products are covered. I don't really think about warranties when I buy a diaper but it would really suck if something went wrong. A company as big as CB should have a better policy.
