Wow. That sucks! My prime membership is up this month. I had 52 orders in 2011 and 25 so far this year because of my prime. Definitely won't renew if it means I have to spend $25...

This. Their packaging is ridiculous. I ordered a wii game a couple of years ago the one that came with the motion things and it was packed in a box big enough to put one of my kids in.

I can see where they are coming from with the smaller things. I can't imagine the sheer volume of small product orders they send out for free. It's not cost effective.

They should've at least let current prime members finish out their current membership and then made them aware before renewing.

That's bull to slip it in across the board and not tell anyone.

I am still on the amazon mom program but was strongly considering purchasing a prime membership when it expires. Why bother if you have to spend $25 anyways?

Hmmm...I let my Prime membership lapse but was thinking of renewing it. I think this has convinced me not to.

I'm probably not signing up for prime now, I don't order that much from amazon and exemptions would make it not worth it.

It is a bit annoying although, if they start to offer them to virtually ALL small products it wouldn't be so bad. I know so many times when I needed small parts and the seller cannot offer Prime because the shipping cost would mean someone would probably lose money on the sale, I couldn't receive the item for few days.

They could definitely do without the $25 minimum for Prime members and go with $15.
