I am starting to think about DS Fall/Winter wardrobe. He has nothing for the upcoming seasons. I know I hear a lot about Hannah Andersson but I am not sure what the deal is and have never owned anything from this company. Why do you like it? Is the quality good? Does it show wash ware quickly? What can you tell me? I see the prices are high so I just want to know more before I think about making any purchases.

Re: Why do you/ dont you love Hannah Andersson clothing?
The clothes hold up and for the most part are modest and festive. I always know that if I order something it won't be flimsy and it will wash well. Their pajamas and underwear are the best around.
I suggest ordering from one of the outlets and having them shop and ship for you. The Kittery Maine store is closest to you I think. Here in NY I get Maine shipments the next day.

Re: Why do you/ dont you love Hannah Andersson clothing?
The clothes hold up great. A bit pricey, but I buy on Ebay and they are usually in great condition. They are sized true with room to grow. Good quality cotton vs dept. store cheapies that shrink up and are paper thin. I also love that they are children's clothes, not "mini-adult wear" for lack of a better term. Hanna has GREAT sales, too.

Re: Why do you/ dont you love Hannah Andersson clothing?
I really love how they wash up. I also love that they allow for a cloth diaper in the bottom - generously cut. Everything we have has a really nice zipper, nothing gets stuck in it nor does it get off the track.
I also love that the jammies have no feet. My son seems to have a somewhat long torso for his size, so we tend to size up and then cuff the bottom. It's been working well. I would say we have/had a half dozen jammies in each size and every one looks fantastic except the one on a white background that my husband let him smear mushed carrots all over. The cotton feels very nice even after many washes.

Re: Why do you/ dont you love Hannah Andersson clothing?
I love the styles and I love the fit on my kids. They fit for a long time- like we have dresses this summer that were also worn last summer, and they are not as roomy but they are still fitting. They also wash well, and I find stains usually come out pretty easily compared to some other brands I have for whatever reason. Maybe it is just my perception. My DD likes the bright colors, and it is easy to match Hanna separates as most of them seem to have the same colors. She also likes the comfy feel- and how easy it is to put most of the things on- no tight necks or anything like that.
When I had my boy, I was thinking I liked some of the other designers better with the looks of the clothes, but the Hannas fit him best, and I am changing my mind about wanting more of the other designers.

Re: Why do you/ dont you love Hannah Andersson clothing?
My kids are very slender, and I find Hanna clothing items that have to fit around the waist (skirts and pants) tend to fall right off them. But I love their sweaters, jackets and dresses. The prints do not fade and they were meant to be handed down from kid to kid and look great. If I had more than 1 kid of the same gender, I'd be shopping there more for sure because they are an excellent value for your money. Just because the clothes are so durable, you can often find them at consignment stores in great condition.

IME Hanna stuff never fades or shrinks, even after many washings. The cotton is very soft as well, and stays soft.

Re: Why do you/ dont you love Hannah Andersson clothing?
I'm a big Hanna fan. The stuff lasts forever, even on child #3 or more. And the resale value on Ebay is high. I have bought Hanna stuff on Ebay, had my daughter wear it all summer & then sold it used for more than I paid originally! They do have more stuff for girls than boys but I shop there now for my son since he needs 100% cotton clothing which is hard to find elsewhere. I like their stuff also since I have larger than average children & their stuff fit my kids well & has plenty of cloth diaper room for the little ones.

The quality is great! My mom has play dresses that went through three kids and still look great. Wears like iron. And the things I've got for my lo are going to last forever too.

We love Hanna. It's very durable and comfy. Even my 7 year old daughter loves the PD sets and asks to wear them all the time.
