Re: Any stroller experts? Compact with 50+ lb weight limit

City Mini goes to 50lb, and it fits in about the same or less space than a snap-n-go.

Re: Any stroller experts? Compact with 50+ lb weight limit

I love Maclarens! I have a Maclaren Triumph that is now 7 years old and is still in great shape. I love how they are quick and easy to fold, and so compact! They also have tall handles which is nice for me and DH since we are tall people. The Quest is a step up from the Triumph and is very nice. The one con about Maclarens is that the basket underneath is not very big, bit IMO, all of the pros outweigh that one con.

I love my Mac Quest. It would fit your needs well. We use an after-market sunshade (kiddopotamus) because the suncanopy is so small.

The only stroller I love more than my Mac Quest is my BJCM. However, it is heavier than the Mac and takes up more room in my car, but is still lightweight, compact, and has a weightlimit of 50lbs.

I <3 my Maclaren. I only wish I had brought myself to buy one before my last baby. FWIW, I bought mine new on Ebay and because it was the previous year's color combo, it was about $100 less than retail.

My DD was 16 lbs at 2 months.

It's definitely not a typo, and I'm certain that's accurate...she's 40 lbs. My biceps can attest to that

I went with the Maclaren quest and really like it so far. Thanks everyone!

Dd was 14lbs at 2 months. she had major rolls. But around 18 months she started slendering down. And now at 22 months she's 26lbs.

Glad you found a stroller you like

Was she an early crawler? Or early compared to my DD...she didn't start crawling til 11 months, and that's about when she stopped chunking up. She still gained a lb until she started walking a month later, and now she's been coasting at 39-40 lbs for the last couple months

Nope.. Dd didn't crawl until 13 months. And more of an army crawl.

She didnt walk until 20 months. And now she looks "normal"

But she had super chunk rolls! Ped told me "you must make yummy ice cream". It was horrible trying to keep all those creases clean and sweat free.

She was only 7lbs at birth. 14lbs at 2 months. 21lbs at 6 months.

And now only around 26.5 at 22 mo

This is turning into a big baby thread. Mind if I chime in?

My DS was 9.5 lbs at birth, 15 lbs by 2 months, reached 20 by 4 months, reached 25 by 8 months. He's now 26 months, 36 lbs. he started out big, now he looks pretty normal but TALL!

His only "delay" was caused by his huge melon. It just took him longer to do things that require head control like sitting up.

Here he is at 2 months - 15 lb 11 oz.

Here he is most recently at 26 months.
