This was way back in 1984, so obviously technology is a little better now, but at my mom's 20 week ultrasond with me, they wrote down "boy" on her chart (my parents were waiting to find out), the dr sure was surprised when I came out a girl!

Funny I just saw this thread. DHs cousins wife had a baby last night (homebirth too !) and baby boy was actually baby girl! She had at least two ultrasounds confirming it. They are in complete shock.

Re: Anyone have a "boy" at 17 weeks that turned into a girl later?

I am going to date myself a little here, but when my mom was pregnant with me she had a couple of amnio's done. She begged the doctors to tell her whether I was a boy or girl and they wouldn't tell her - hospital policy not to reveal the sex if learned during a medical procedure. Can you imagine that happening today?

I honestly thought the front view u/s pic looked like there were some bits hanging down when I saw them on fb. Congratulations on the baby boy... oh your boys are going to have so much fun getting into trouble together.. I mean playing together.

What about Johann, Andrea? It means "god is merciful".

All of my ultrasounds have been accurate, and we have found out around 14-16 weeks with all 7 of them. Congratulations

I had a boy at 16 week u/s twice and they were both, in fact, boys. I had a girl at a 17.5w u/s who was very much a girl.

My uncle and his wife were told boy through out the entire pregnancy, 1st baby for the wife so she went BONKERS (as we all do) with boy EVERYTHING........whoops...IT'S A GIRL in the delivery room!!! She didn't have to do an amnio so this was simply from u/s images.
