Unhappy need to wean - ttc

our specialist said I need to wean ASAP so we can ttc again- we have circumstances that make ttc now - if we want another child- crucial. I am not ready to wean and neither is my DS (one year). any advice? my hormone levels are too high- or I'd try to conceive again and keep feeding him

Is it possible to cut some feedings and try vitex (no experience, just have read some mamas use it)? Maybe just night wean?

Maybe just try cutting out night feedings?

I hate to hear of anyone weaning when they don't want to. Especially when it's for something that may or may not happen even if you do wean. I mean, even if you wean you aren't guaranteed to get pregnant and then you may regret it. I would say pray about it, God is the one who opens and closes the womb and I know people can get pregnant while nursing, I have and many friends of mine have as well. So prayer would be my advice.

thanks for the hugs- and def. am praying about this!!! you are right- marliah- i am worried i will wean only to not be able to conceive we have to see a speciailist because my husband is ill and we have to use "pre-med" donated ... also, because of my age- we don't have much time I am down to 3-4 feedings and go over 8 hours at night- so we are on our way, just feeling pressure to "hurry up and quit" by doctors and family! I will def. look into vitex, aleatha. thanks for the suggestion!! My prolactin levels (about double) are still too high for them to do IUI

I'm thinking vitex shoukdn't be taken during lactation. But I could be wrong. Double check
