Re: Soy formula vs. goat milk
I would also do goats milk as it is the closest to human milk as you can get. I am personally not a fan of soy because of the havoc it wreaks on hormones.

Re: Soy formula vs. goat milk
I would avoid the soy.
Have you looked into donor milk? i am hesitant to recommend the WAPF homemade formulas because the vitamin A levels are really high, but i think that it is probably healthier than soy.

Re: Soy formula vs. goat milk
I thought about this, but I also thought that probably the levels in the tested breastmilk don't reflect a mother eating as much vitamin A is really healthy, so the levels would be lower than with a mom eating closer to an optimal diet. Most Americans don't get nearly enough natural Vitamin A in their diets anyway. I'm not sure why they're so high in WAPF formula; I have heard a lot of good comments about it, though. I'd use it if I needed to because there really isn't any other good option.

Re: Soy formula vs. goat milk
My daughter did soy formula for 15 months. In the long run, I felt like it was a mistake. But, for only a three or so months, I would go with formula before goats milk, then transition to goats milk later on.

Re: Soy formula vs. goat milk
I think I am going to order some Goat's milk but wait maybe a couple months to begin a slow transition.
Has anyone used? Meyenberg - Meyenberg Goat Milk (Powdered), 12 oz powder I am thinking of using powder Goat Milk, it is fortified and it seems to have great reviews. |

Re: Soy formula vs. goat milk
I used it in my formula recipe...we didn't have any issues. We found a farm we trust though and switched to raw.
