6 month old & teething

DS is 6 months old (& 1 week). The teeth are coming fast and furious... He just cut his 6th tooth today! My DD didn't have 6 teeth until 8 months.

Parents, how common is it to have this many teeth so early?

DD1 had that many teeth at that age. Hers started coming at 4 months and all came fast. DD2 did not get teeth until about 7 months and they came very slowly. DS just turned 4 months and is showing obvious signs of teething. definitely not a norm within my family.

My ds1 had that many teeth at 6 months. They came in fast for him.
Now my ds2 is currently 9 months and his first tooth barely popped through. Lol

Not sure how common, but my son had 7 teeth at 6 months and my daughter had not one until she was 8 months old.

Our first 3 children did not start getting teeth until like 10mo but #4 got her 2 bottom teeth right at 4mo. I was pretty surprised.

Not sure how common - it's usually genetic. So, might be after you or your husband and your other children after the other one.

My daughter teethed in 4's. She started popping them out at 6months and had 16 before she turned 14months. She has 19 that I know of right now at 21months. Just 1 more.. but she isn't interested in showing them to momma.. I'm hoping the last one is in.

Thank you everyone! I'm so glad we're not the only ones!! People keep looking at me like we're given the kid HGB or something, lol! ...They're just teeth.

People's suggestive comments were beginning to make me think maybe we needed to look in to something causing his rapid/ferocious growth. All babies are different, but this fellas in Shaq territory and flying through milestones. I'll stop that little voice in my head.
