Milk drying up?
How do you know if your milk is drying up? And if it is, what can you do to help produce more milk?

Re: Milk drying up?
What makes you think it is drying up? You could start with something like fenugreek and/or blessed thistle...

My DS is 8 months and the last couple days he has just been sucking for a while on it (doesn't normally do this) and isn't swallowing and it's been at every feeding.

Re: Milk drying up?
If baby doesn't seem to be gaining, or doesn't have enough wet or poopy diapers (and isn't taking a lot of solids), you might have a supply problem.
Usually, if you've had a good supply before, you can increase your supply by nursing more, as long as there isn't some hormonal reason for a decrease in supply (like if you're pregnant). The body generally adjusts supply to meet demand within a couple of days.
