I might add she was 5 lbs at birth and 3 weeks early.

Re: How long in NB clothes?

Both over 9lbs and while I stuffed them in nb clothes for a couple weeks each, I was in denial, they never really fit. Both wore 0-3m outfits home from the hospital.

Re: How long in NB clothes?

My first was 9lb 13oz. Never fit newborn. Second boy was 10lb 11oz, never fit newborn and only were 0-3months for 1 month tops. Even if I had normal sized babies, I'd never, ever buy NB clothing.

My friend who's baby is 2 weeks younger than mine was born 6lbs and were NB for at least the first month and is still in 0-3 month clothing with room to grow(our babies are almost 4 months old)... mine is in 9 month clothing.

Re: How long in NB clothes?

All of my 3 girls were right around 7.5lbs. They fit into NB stuff for the first 4-6 weeks, probably until they hit about 9-10lbs. I wouldn't bother getting more than say, 3 NB outfits. If your baby is really little you can always go out and get some more after they are born. If you are buying I would suggest leaving the tags on some of them on, maybe just wash 1 outfit for them to wear right away.
