Question Best carrier for a toddler????

Hello. Please tell me what carrier you use for your toddler? I have an "ultimate baby wrap" but it doesn't work that well for my 18 mos old.
What type is geared towards the older babies??

My 17 month old ds loves to be in his Mei Tai on my back. But I have also heard great things about the Ergo Carrier, I just can't afford one right now!

Re: Best carrier for a toddler????

I used a friend's ergo carrier this week for my 18 month old and I am in love!! It was much better than the carriers we have and she actually let me borrow it to travel back home instead of the one I brought and it made our trip so much more bearable. I'm going to start saving now, (I was also giving dh the big mother's day hint, lol!)

I would say a beco or an ergo super easy to use and get on quickly!

and my 25 pound 10 month old can be in one for hours or the whole day in disney world like we just did recently and i didnt have a sore muscle in my body after

same kind of thing as ergo and beco - check out the Patapums. I picked one up used (looks unused!) for $50 ppd.

I love the hip carry position in a Mei Tai for toddlers. I am buying an Ergo, we go to the beach a lot and I want to use it for back-carrying.

I'm with the MT too for the older babies. Wraps are awesome when they're small, but the MT is easier on my back. I've only tried BH's.

My preferred carrier is our Mei Tai, especially for long BWing sessions. For quick trips and lots of up/down time, I go for our pouches or ring slings.
