Re: Anyone have a larger gap with their kids

There is 3 years to the day between mine, but I was an only child until I was 9 on one side & 10 on the other. I have a very different relationship with my younger siblings because of the age gap. Not bad though. Especially the 10yr gap between my half-brother & I. I was like a second mother to him a lot of times.

There is a little over 4 years between the older 2 and our newbie. We wouldn't have waited that long between if both pregnancies were singletons but our next child ( if we are blessed with another... We have 4 more embryos) will be closer together.

Re: Anyone have a larger gap with their kids

My first 2 girls are 9 years apart and love each other so much! They are 15yrs and 6yrs old right now. Adding my own half siblings are 7yr, 8 and 9yrs younger tha me. I'm closest to the oldest-7year gap.

I don't have a very large gap between my kids BUT... My sister is 13 years older than me. And my DH and his brother are 7 years apart.

Re: Anyone have a larger gap with their kids

We have 2 who are 13 months apart
an almost 6 year gap
and three under three

We never planned it this way - we thought we were done BUT I LOVE our spacings. The kids close together means that eveyone has a playmate and the big gap means that the older ones can help (and love to do it) with the little ones and my body and mind got a nice long break from babies and toddlers.

Re: Anyone have a larger gap with their kids

My kids are 9 years apart and adore each other. It's great to have an extra almost-adult in the house now as they are 16 and 7. DD is amazing with her little brother although he does sometimes say things that make him sound a bit like a teenage girl!

I think that would be really cool. I would love to have another set of kids close in age after a period of time. I can enjoy getting some freedom but I am not ready to be done completely. I could take a break for a while though. I think it would be cool to have an older set of kids and a younger set. I heard it is a little easier when you have older kids. I don't know that this will happen but you never know.
