Major BG 4.0 leak issues

I would also guess the Ivory is building up and causing repelling on the suedecloth. Try stripping and then switch detergent. I've had great success with Gain.

I wouldn't worry too much, I've been using BGs and CJs for over a year and never have had buildup.

I would guess it's the Ivory. I've heard of that causing problems a lot!

Most mamas don't have any problems. We did, though. And CJ's was the only cream/product being applied to DS's bum so I know it was the culprit. If it ends up causing you problems, you just scrub your diapers' inners w/Dawn (by hand), then wash with extra rinses. It wasn't fun but my diapers are a-okay today so you aren't risking ruining them or anything like you are with some creams (like Desitin).

Ivory leaves a buildup in my shower with hard water so I would not want to try it on diapers. I use Tide Free powder.

I totally agree with this! You need to strip your pockets for sure because the pee isn't even making it through the suedecloth so that means it's repelling. I had to strip mine once after using Ecover and I used Dawn, hot water and a very soft bristle brush. It took two times of doing this with lots of hot washes (no detergent) but I finally got it all out and they were as good as new.

I have hard water and love Tide. All Free & Clear is a good one for hard water too if you don't do dyes or perfume.

Don't give up! They'll be back to working great once they absorb again.
