Re: Does your Child take a supplement?
No. My children eat a well balanced, healthy diet. If there were an actual deficiency, they I would certainly supplement. In fact, at about 4, my daughter had iron induced anemia, so we supplemented. But, as she became a better eater, that resolved.
IMO unnecessary supplements = expensive pee

My son is an inconsistent eater, so I give him animal parade gold. They are a whole food multi with probiotics.

We do half a flinstone multi and gummy omega-3's a few times a week- my almost three yr old eats a variety, but I want to make sure she's not missing anything.

I live in an area with non-fluorinated water. We were prescribed a supplement by the ped at her 6 month appointment. It has vit d, fluoride and something else. I wouldn't have done it except my dentist strongly recommended it. It comes as liquid drops. At two, you get something else. Its not a multi vitamin though.

I give my toddlers Flintstone multivitamines. I tried doing the probiotics but it gave them horrible diarrhea. My sons eat very well, but I just want to make sure they're not missing out on anything.

Re: Does your Child take a supplement?
Ours get a healthy balanced diet provided to them. What they actually decide to take in is not always the same balance (ie. sometimes they only eat the noodles, sometimes just the beans, etc.). We use Vitacost and I typically get whatever is on sale there, usually opting for gummies because it satisfies mine and their's desire for a sweet treat occasionally.
I also keep Emergen-C on hand when one gets sick, we all take some. We have teas and other herbs we use as well... |
