Wool Covers
These are all Mediums unless otherwise noted
Imse Vimse Merino Wool Cover (New) $35 PPD OBO Purchased this from an online boutique, lost it, then found it again wedged between a stack of towels. My dd will probably fit it but not for long, so I am looking to sell and purchase another. No pic of inner because I did not open it up. Let me know if you want to see a pic. ![]() ![]() Nikki Poly Blend $8 PPD One Left Hard to let this go. These are SOOO great for chunky thighs and was my absolute go to cover. Great stretch and soft elastic; you can tug this tight without fretting over red marks on your baby. Aplix is in good shape. Recently lanolized. I used too much lanolin though so they do have lanolin spots. They will wear out. Super, super comfy for your little ones! ![]() Lanolin spots did not photograph but they are there. ![]() Nikki Wool Cover $15 PPD Size Medium. I bought this new and didn't use it nearly as much as the poly blends. Leg elastic and aplix are 100%, has been newly lanolized. ![]() Image below taken at an angle; diaper is not warped. ![]() Nikki Wool Cover $8 PPD Size Large. The elastic is worn so it fits more like a medium. That may seem like an oxymoron to you but trust me, this fits almost the same as the diaper above. Newly lanolized but definitely well worn, slight felting. Should have plenty of wear left. ![]() ![]() I thought this was a bit thick for summer even if it is super breathable so it didn't see much use. A shame. It is super soft, super pliant, and just plain cozy. If it weren't on baby's bottom, you'd be tempted to snuggle up against it. Super absorbent too! Snaps/elastic are 110%. Practically new. ![]() ![]()

Re: Wool Covers
are the nikky covers good for under clothes? we're trying to find a solution that won't wick with clothes over the cover AND that's trim enough. and are any of these that you have available an appropriate size for a 20 lb 9 mo old?

Re: Wool Covers
Nikki's are great for under clothes. They ARE meant to be lightweight, so heavy wetters will need a booster, and you will notice a moisture when baby wets enough. Most times for me, I didn't have a problem unless I waited too long before lanolizing, in which case her clothing was slightly damp but not enough to warrant a changing.
The matter of fit depends on your lo's weight distribution. My dd's thighs are 12 inches around and she is 16/17 lbs. She's outgrown the leg room but had belly room left. At 20 lbs, though, unless your baby is all height and no chubs, I'd look into the size large anyway - more room to grow into. Also, the Imse Vimse are trim covers as well. Didn't try mine out, though, so not sure about the wicking. |

Re: Wool Covers
do you think i'd be able to put like a hybrid fitted underneath? that should be absorbent enough...and my dd has very chunky thighs. in fact, i'm pretty sure that's where most of her weight is. haha!!

Re: Wool Covers
I was using bamboo inserts/prefolds and BG bamboo fitted so I'm sure a hybrid would work even better.
I would still recommend size large, though. The one large I have fits more like a medium. |
