Yay leg cramps!

Not! Ugh. They were pretty terrible last night. Any tips ladies? I never had them with DD.

Re: Yay leg cramps!

I'd wake up when I felt one coming. As long as I pulled my foot back as far as I could, I'd stop it from happening.

Walking if you can... once I can get up as soon as I can walk it off, I'm fine... only had leg cramps with my first so hoping this one won't either... Eating a banana or drinking milk usually helps keep them gone... Hugs, hope they get better!

I get them most nights. I have to get up and walk and I drink some water in case I'm dehydrated. And lots of calf stretches!

It's a relief to hear I'm not the only one suffering at night. I up'd my water intake last night and only woke up a few times from pain.

I get them on occasion too. My leg locks up so where I can't just pull my toes up, I have to stand to stretch it out. I heard (somewhere) that swelling can cause leg cramps, because it is the body's way of pushing the fluid back up. I have been wearing the wonderful compression stockings and have my pillow for my knees/legs at night, and I haven't got them very much any more at all. I hope you get some relief!

I get them at night as well. I just straighten the leg out and point my toes up towards my shin. This usually deters it from getting bad. I also drink more water these days to help.

Oh good, I'm not the only one experiencing this! I don't remember leg cramps with my other two. I usually can feel them coming on and stretch - thankfully nothing really bad yet - but it's annoying to be woke up this way.
