I think I need these...

Re: BumGenius newborn diapers, please help me

So glad to read this!
We are expecting in January and my last baby was 10 lbs 1/2 oz at birth, he wore sposies though till 5 mths and didn't fit newborn pampers, had to go to size 1.
I was worried about buying newborn diapers because of his size and the fact this is baby #6 so I could have another big baby. have been just thinking I would wait till the baby comes and see what size he/she is

DD2 was almost 8 lbs. at birth & they were a good fit. When she turned a month old, we stopped using them because she outgrew the absorbency.

This...

Our dd is 4 weeks, and while they still fit, she is peeing right out of the suckers. Thankfully she is fitting in the OS diapers now. I do think it is worth t for the 4 weeks though. They fit perfectly.

My DS kept his cord forever so we couldn't use them until he was over 10 lbs. by that time, he had had outgrown the absorbency. I agree with PPs' suggestion of either getting Simplex or used BG smalls.

I bought some for my son when he was 3 weeks old and they just weren't absorbent enough also I think they seemed to stop fitting around 10ish lbs not 12 like they say. I'll definitely be trying something else whenever the next baby comes along!

My LO is over 9 lbs now, and just about outgrown the BGs. Which is sad because I do love them. But I can barely get them on her, and she's just about outgrown the absorbency as well at 3 weeks old. If you're expecting a bigger baby, they're probably not a good choice for you.

They still fit our DD at 6 weeks and a little over 10 pounds but absorbency is becoming an issue. But I bought them used off FSOT and will probably be able to resell them well so I'm not too worried, they were worth it for that short time I think just for convenience's sake. Plus I think they're adorable.

I had some for DS(10 lbs at birth) and wish I had just bought more swaddlebees newborn. I love the swaddlebees. It is easy to add absorbency if needed.

Re: BumGenius newborn diapers, please help me

I bought one, because I couldn't resist the albert print, but when I researched, these got mixed reviews...they seem to have a high rise, and many outgrew the absorbancy before the fit (or even before the cord was off). For bigger babies, I got simplex nb, kissaluvs, and tots bots.
(all aios)
