Leather vs Cloth
3 kids in car seats (not sure that it matters, but frontier 85, marathon 70, radian) Do you think leather or cloth would hold up better?
Considering leasing, which one would hold up better to the weight.

I've had both and currently have dark grey leather. I have four kids in seats: Nbb, Monterey, Frontier, and Roundabout right now but frequently two radians replace the Britax. With four kids and constantly on the go, leather is awesome to clean up. My seat bottom does get hot but keeping a rolled towel under the seat that I can lay on it when I go in a store helps a lot.

Re: Leather vs Cloth
We read that leather is easier to clean and holds up better so we are getting leather in our new car. You can buy a seat protector to put under your carseat too. I am going to buy some beach towels on clearance to put on the seat so they aren't too hot in the summer.

Re: Leather vs Cloth
I have leather and it is easy clean up but I don't like the indentations the carseats makes on the seat. I dont want it to wear like that over time. So I have a thick blanket that goes across the backseat and its just fine

We have cloth, it still looks new after 2.5 years and 2 kids. There are pros and cons to each, pick what you prefer!

I have leather and I love how easily it cleans. I have found that it can be easier to install on cloth seats usually. For a lease, I would go with leather to help it stay clean.

Re: Leather vs Cloth
Thanks. I just love opinions. We usually get leather because its an aesthetic preference for my husband and I, but leasing adds a level of paranoia. I don't want car seat indents which I know typically pop out to fall under "unusual wear and tear".

Re: Leather vs Cloth
I think it is a personal preference really. I personally hate leather seats so will never own a vehicle with them.

I've never liked leather because it's so hot in summer and so cold in winter. We just have a rule that we don't eat in the car (although this is often hard to enforce!)
