Re: Wha do you do for work?

I agree with healthcare being a great field! I an currently working in the NICU of the local childrens hospital. I love it! I work 4 12/hr night shifts every 2 weeks, so lots of time home with the kids and no daycare. I agree with being able to move around, I've worked in med/surg units, oncology, and now the NICU. Love learning and interacting with the kids

Registered nurse: office setting. Better hours than in the hospital.

I always thought this would be fun. I am an RN, too. See my siggy for exact fields.

I'm a legal assistant. I work 8-3:30 M-F. I started at the firm in the mail room after I graduated from university, and worked my way up. It's a good firm, and they were very flexible with my hours when I came back from maternity leave after DS was born.

Re: Wha do you do for work?

I'm on Mat leave now. I work for an engineering firm doing 2D/3D AutoCAD architectural/structural drawings, steel detailing and designing small buildings. Beams, roof/floor systems, foundations etc. It isn't a terribly exciting job, hours are 8:30-5. It can be pretty demanding but it isn't so bad. I don't have benefits with this company, which is unfortunate. You could easily get a CAD operators certification that would qualify you for a number of positions. I've worked for design companies, this firm, a kitchen manufacturer etc.
