Well had an appointment yesterday and when they first had me on the monitor, they said that there was a dip in the heart rate and they wanted to induce me! I asked if there was any other option. They said that I could be put on the monitor in Labor and Delivery for an hour. After waiting an hour and a half, they said that the baby looked okay and I could go home I have to go back on Friday for them to check the baby again but so far, he is just happy as can be right where he is.

Emerson went on a near-24 hour nursing strike, which was so sad and scary. He wouldn't even take spooned breastmilk, and the bit we could get down, he would just spit back up. The doctor thought his thrush was likely hurting his tongue and his tummy. He spent most of the day crying inconsoluably.

At 3 this morning DH was able to get an ounce in him by spoon, and Emerson kept it down! Then at 4 he finally nursed!!!! Then he peacefully slept four hours, woke, and nursed again! Now he is sleeping again. I plan to spend the day in bed with him so he can sleep and nurse as much as he wants.

SUCH a relief that he is nursing again! Praise God!
