I use oxyclean and a warm wash (instead of cold) and have no stains.

Re: Help! First ever wash of prefolds--bad staining
I have very rarely had stains and have never used a cd det. just whatever I had on hand...I would add more detergent.

The sun is magical! Unfortunately, Country Save really left our diapers stained (not permanently, just after i used CS). Maybe it was just bad for us, though, as they also stunk no matter how much detergent I used. It just didnt seem to do much. We haven't had the staining problem with anything else I've tried, even though I have rejected several other detergents for stink issues.

Re: Help! First ever wash of prefolds--bad staining
Stains do not bother me, they are diapers.
