Package weight...

Does anyone know how much a package has to weigh before it is cheaper to mail in a small FRB rather than a bubble mailer? I think I saw 13 oz but just wanted to double check.

After 13 oz it can't be sent out first class which means it will need to be mailed priority or parcel post. In most cases they are very close in price thus making priority the better choice. HTH.

Okay. I have to mail 2 BG 4.0s and I don't know if it would be cheaper First Class or small FRB. I mailed a FB the other day and it was $3.31 after DC for one diaper. Not sure which way would be cheaper!

I think it will also depend on how far away you're sending them. If it's close by, parcel is likely the cheapest. If not, FRB may be cheaper.

If you know the weight and zip code, you can calculate and compare on usps.com

Re: Package weight...

So I found out that shipping a 1 lb 5 oz package priority mail via paypal costs about the same as a small FRB. Which was great because my stuff didn't all fit in a small FRB but a medium would have been huge! And shipping it via paypal was about $2 less than the quote the usps.com site gave me.

Order some free padded flat rate mailers. USPS will deliver them to you free. The post office doesn't stock them at retail sites. The padded mailer ships for just $5.10 which includes free delivery confirmation when you pay for the postage online.
