Short Rounds fitteds in a size large are bigger then many other large fitteds I tried. I think they fit well on chunky LOs. I have not tried Kissaluvs size two though, so I cannot comment on them.

My 3yr old is about 32# and I use Tots Bots during the day and prefolds with Blueberry covers at night. He has a good 1.5-2" of velcro left on each side in the TBs and 2-3 more snaps on each side of the Blueberrys depending on how I fold the pf.

Softbums omni fit my ds(barely) at 47lbs! Their adjustable elastic makes it a great fit on any shape, and if you get the hook and loop then it's infinitely adjustable! We love our softbums.

My 21 month old is about that size
We use prefolds and flip & econobum covers, and Alva baby pockets. I've head that the kissaluv fitteds aren't very absorbent.

My son wears bg 4.0s, but if I were worried that he would outgrow them, I would just go to simplex size lg. I get a great fit with either, but the simplex are bigger because they are sized. My son is 31 lbs.

Edit: The Alvas are very roomy. We are in between the snap settings right now, he fits on either the middle rise snap or totally unsnapped and still has 3 or 4 waist snaps left.
