Im a breast feeding mom trying to lose weight. I have read a lot of articles that say you should eat at least 2000 calories because a nursing baby burns 500 a day & if you don't get enough calories or lose weight too fast your milk will become toxic. Anyone out there have a daily or weekly meal plan that's tried and true for them and their baby?

I'm in the same boat, somewhat. I'm breastfeeding, but within a healthy BMI. However I have belly fat that did not used to be there and I'm trying to really shake it off, as well as tone up. I don't count calories, I tried, but it's not working for me.
Now, I'm not really on a diet, per se, but I do watch what I eat, how much, and when I eat larger meals in the morning/lunch. I typically have two breakfasts, two lunches, and a light dinner. I stop eating around 7pm, unless I'm running early the next morning. I drink water a LOT, run 3-4x a week, go to Bootcamp once a week, and Zumba or some sort of aerobics class once a week. I get one rest day. I sometimes get one cheat day too (and not during my rest day). Back to food, I gave up fried foods, soda, and chips. Everything else is pretty much fair game. So far, i THINK it's working. I'm a work in progress and haven't reached my goal yet, but this is what I've been doing in the last month. Below are some progress pics.
