Re: Homemade deodorant
Using my own homemade deodorant would be a huge change for me, I never knew this many women did it! Okay that's it, I'm inspired to give it a shot

Re: Homemade deodorant
So, I made up a batch a couple of weeks ago, and I've been loving it! I gave a small tube to my older DD, and she likes it, too. I can dig out my recipe if anyone is interested.

Re: Homemade deodorant
I'm another fan/user of equal parts unrefined coconut oil, baking soda, and cornstarch. Changed my life. I can't use store-bought deodorant - even if all the chemicals didn't weird me out, the fact is they don't work for me. And the "natural" deodorants are a joke for me. But this works wonderfully! My 12 & 9 yr old use it as well. I usually have to chase them down to remind them. I was feeling lazy today and didn't do this. Oh man did they ever smell!

I'm having trouble getting the right amounts of all the ingredients. I'm pretty sensitive to the baking soda, but if I "water it down" with the coconut oil, I stink. Anyone else have this problem and find a solution?

Yes, i uused hers too but cut the bs in half. Also she posted another post on several other deoderant recipes.did you see that?
I know mine is very liquidy, i keep it in a small glass jar and stir and apply with my finger, but lotsa pppl pour into an old deo container stick and keep in the fridge. I may try that.

Re: Homemade deodorant
I will have to try this. Can I also apply this under my breasts? Is it sticky? I ask because I am a runner. I sweat a lot. I need something that will help with the sweaty smell.
