i was gonna suggest flats/prefolds and covers too but i am LOVING the washcloth idea! i already have an entire newborn stash but i just may get some wash cloths to try too! super cute

My LO used washcloths for her first whole month! they got rough though, so I tossed a baby washcloth on top, smooth side up.
