And with the flat as long as you catch the bottom layer you don't have to go though... does that make sense?

My dad told me to wipe the pin across your scalp, or on your nose. The oils on your skin coat the pin. Making it slide through the diaper easier

I think she's referring to the bottom layer as the flap that goes over the crotch, not literally the bottom layer of pf or flat on the crotch flap. No?

Right she answered it. I don't actually try to get it all the way through. The actual pin is never touching the baby's skin when I do it.

a bar of soap stick the pins in & practice.
i have been cd for 4years but still have a hard time pinning flats, prefolds are much easier.
