Re: yeast infection?

I just got over one, but I wasn't patient enough to find out about natural methods. Got advice from my midwives after I'd already made a late night run for Cetrimazole. One natural method that I heard works is to put a peeled, unbroken clove of garlic in your vagina overnight. Take it out in the morning. Oddly enough you can supposedly taste the garlic even with it way down there. I did see the suggestion of threading the garlic first to make it easier to get it out later.

Also, eat a lot of garlic, plain yogurt, avoid sugars for a few days. Anything that metabolizes as sugar leads to yeast build up (sugar, fruit, pasta, potatoes, etc.). I put myself on a modified Candida diet for a few days to limit all of those yeast encouragers. Don't want to really go on the diet strictly though because you need those nutrients during pregnancy. Good luck!
