Teachers-Frog Themed Classroom UPDATE WITH PICS POST 27
Anyone have a frog themed classroom? For six years I've had a bee theme, and am tired of it, and decided I need some change. My 2 year old LOVES frogs (even the kids bathroom is frogs). She says frog like the f word though BAHAHAHA (yes that is totally random). Anyway, so I decided frogs would be so fun, and would remind me of her when I am at work away from her. Plus she will just love it when she comes to visit my classroom.
I have been doing google searches and finding a ton of great ideas, but just wanted to see if anyone has a frog themed classroom too, or has any ideas.

I'm not a teacher but my mom is so I've looked up stuff for her - something a little cheesy would be "welcome to our pad"

Re: Teachers-Frog Themed Classroom
Welcome to our pad is really cute!
I've seen teachers do frog pictures with the kids' names outside the room and a sign that says, "Hopping into ____ Grade"

Yes, I was going to say, "Hop on in to Grade ____!" with lily pads. I have also seen "Toad-ally Awesome Work/Behaviour" charts and bulletin boards. Have fun!

Re: Teachers-Frog Themed Classroom
I did one for my step daughter. I bought the round rugs from Ikea (Lily Pads) and my daughter and I made her some Cat tails for the wall in her reading corner, and it looked like a little pond. She put green giant pillows on the floor to look like the edge of the pond.
I also found some green frog towels at Target, sewed them in half so the frogs and the cats tails showed and turned them into pillows. http://pinterest.com/search/?q=frog+classroom http://www.thelearningpad.net/tour.html

Re: Teachers-Frog Themed Classroom
Oh...and We got her a little fish tank with three tiny frogs in it. They were inexpensive from Petsmart.

Re: Teachers-Frog Themed Classroom
I have an owl theme this year and have done apples other years....but, for your frogs you might do a bulletin board (I'm big on making them so the background/border can stay up all year and just the work gets swapped out). The heading could say, "Look what's hoppin' in 1st grade (or Mrs. _______'s Class). Then get each kid a frog cutout, laminate, and write their name on it. It gets mounted by their work. If you have an aversion to stapling things like me, you can string yarn across the board (we have 3 rows of it to accommodate 62 kids...two classes) and clothespin their work to the yarn....super cute and SO easy to change out!!

Re: Teachers-Frog Themed Classroom
My son's 1st grade teacher had a frog-theme, but it came more from her love of frogs (and probably the resultant frog gifts parents gave her LOL). I gave her a few froggy gifts -- a little frog sponge and a frog stamp w/a light green ink pad. They had a classroom stuffed frog w/clothes that each child got to bring home and play with for a few days. "Max" the frog.
I love frogs, too, so I think a frog theme would be great!

Re: Teachers-Frog Themed Classroom
YES! I actually taught 5 years in a Christian school, and last year taught at public school, and this year going back to Christian school (not the same one, I'm in a different state now). I realized my heart is in Christian school, and my daughter's get free tuition! yay! So I am definitely using fully rely on God! I am so happy to be able to talk about God again!
