Daycare & breastfeeding/pumping

I'm not sure the best forum to post this in so thought I would try here:

My 3-month-old DS started daycare last week Monday - I'm away 10 hours. I sent 16 oz milk per day last week, and he only drank about 7-9 ounces per day. Yesterday I sent 12 ounces, and he drank 8. I only expect him to drink 10-12, so it's not that far off, but I'm concerned that he's not getting enough.

This is our usual schedule:
Wake up at 6:30am, breastfeed before daycare.
4 feedings from bottles at daycare, taking 1.5-3 ounces (usually 2) each time.
1 feeding when we get home before bedtime (bedtime is 7pm)
2 feedings at night, usually 2:30am and 4:30am.

That's 8 feedings, but with how little he takes at daycare, I'm concerned. I think he's lost a little weight (I don't really trust my scale). The past two nights he's woken up at 11:30pm for an extra feeding session.

Is this normal? How long will it likely take him to adjust to being in daycare? The daycare person says he's acting like he's teething (lots of drooling, constantly chewing on his fingers) and that might be affecting him.

Since he's waking to eat more at night he may be reverse feeding- not eating as much at daycare because he's waiting for you. If you think he has lost weight I'd take him to dr to weigh if possible. Is he having plenty wet diapers still?

Re: Daycare & breastfeeding/pumping

He's still going through about 7 diapers a day - 5-6 wet and 1-2 BMs. So I know that's okay. I just want to make sure I'm catching any issues before they become a serious problem!

Re: Daycare & breastfeeding/pumping

My DD ate more at night after I went back to work at 11 months.

She fed at 5:30 or 6 am... I showered, got ready ate breakfast and fed her again at 7:30 or 8am before heading to work.

I would come home at lunch most days and she'd bring me her nursing pillow for a session.

I fed her at 5:15ish when I got home from work, then I don't even know how many times during the evening/night. She was eating solids by that point as well, but stopped sleeping through the night so she could wake up and nurse.
