Unhappy 1st trimester worries after mc

Hi mommas! DH and I just found out we are expecting again. I have a beautiful 4 (almost 5 yr old) that is from a prev relationship. We had a miscarriage (nat) last yr on aug. 30 at 5w. After almost a year of trying, we are finally pg again, and praying for a sticky baby bean. I'm having a hard time really coping with the anxiety and worries. Every little cramp sends me running to the bathroom to check, and I'm not sleeping well due to nausea and poss bc I'm terrified I will mc again. (I started miscarrying in the mid of the night last time.). Just wondering if you ladies had any thoughts or ideas on keeping the worries at bay so I might have a happy healthy preg???

I've had 3 m/c in the past year and have no live children. I'm now 6 wks with #4, and it is impossibly hard not to worry. The best advice I have is to just keep busy and try to take your mind off of it as much as possible. I don't know if your doc has offered, but having betas done I think is a double edged sword, so are the early ultrasounds. I have to do have both done now because we're with a specialist, but I don't think they do all that much to relieve the stress since everything is always conditional ("cautiously optimistic" - "could still be a problem") and the stress of having them done and waiting for results is almost unbearable.

Hi mama, please come join us over at the Pregnancy After a Loss thread - we all "get it"

The best advice I have heard is to just love every second that you have with your precious baby! You can't control what happens in the future, so stressing about it won't help you. But you can love your baby right now and make sure that he/she is getting lots of positive vibes from mama.

I know it's much easier said than done, and I've been down this road several times so I can appreciate your anxiety. But really that's the best advice that I have, and joining in with a group of mamas who have been there/ARE there is also really comforting. I'm sorry for your loss and praying that this one is a sticky bean for you!
