There are lots of mama's who don't CD right at the start for this reason Do what will work best for you guys

Re: New to diaperswappers

I am new to diaperswappers also! Due in five weeks, and I have been obsessed with this site as well. . We have one son who will turn three on next baby's due date (17th oct!) and I am determined to cd him from the day we bring him home. My first son was only 5.6lbs so even the gm newborn prefolds seemed huge on him. Super excited though! But I have totally misplaced my yellow edged prefolds...my baby brain has erased their placement! Ha ha. *panic!* you won't regret cd! It is so much fun, and we never had any rashes or blowouts with them either.

I have to say also that I have become obsessed with wool...and I totally bought lots of bum genius for my (finally!yay!) potty trained son, and now I'm obsessed with finding fitteds for over 25lbs...but my husband thinks I'm a crazy person. Oh well! Maybe I'll just have to sell the stash and start over! Maybe I should just wait five more weeks and see how it goes of course. good luck!

Toria - wool seems like alot of work with all the special washing. Idk maybe I'll eventually get into it! It does seem like everyone loves it!
