Your better off to tale the receipt in and ask OR purchase the new one and walk strait to CS and return it with the old receipt.

Yes, I would do that. I actually did! I bought DS an expensive toy for his birthday (nov.) but then decided to give it for Christmas. It was a doorbuster at an after Thanksgiving Sale. I purchased one and then took back the other a few days later. It was a $50 price difference! (I wasn't sure I'd be able to get it as doorbusters sometimes sell out)

I don't know about the policies or anything, just wanted to say I don't see anything wrong with it. I would take into account the amount of savings and how much I'd spend in gas going back and forth.

Similar story, bought 3 photo frames at Hobby Lobby, went down the strip center to Dollar Tree, found photo frames WAY cheaper, bought 5 at Dollar Tree, went back down to Hobby Lobby and returned them lol Saved about $15.

I'd do the same thing you did and have before. We bought two king sheet sets on clearance at target, went back a couple days later and they had cut the price in half again (17.98 for 100% cotton king sheet set!) so we bought two and returned the other two we had yet to open. If I can save money and it's not hurting anyone I will!

You should always get refunded the amount on your receipt unless exchanging, they will often swap item for item.

But she returned and repurchased. Old navy did exactly as they should have. No way they should have given her less than she paid. Now, if she had exchanged, they would have just swapped, unless she raised a stink. It's just the way alot of retail places work. The receipt is key.

If some of you are not getting what you paid. On a new item with tags fully within the receipts time frame, you need to see a manager. That's not legal.

Not true here in NY. They put it back unless it's damaged.
