Re: Can someone pleaze explain blw
use the search function or just scroll down. This gets asked on a monthly basis.
BUT... BLW is referring to the baby's ability to choose when to wean from a purely liquid diet to one that includes more solids. The idea is that when a child is ready for solids, they are ready for solids. Not pureed food that's made for babies, but real solid food. So, if the child is truly ready to be eating food, you give them what you're eating. Generally the child should get large things that they can taste, gnaw, etc. Popular first choices generally include steaks, pork chops, ribs, etc, because they're big and handy. Green beans, peas, etc are also great. The smaller things help them learn their pincer grasp and refine that. Everything is a learning tool. It doesn't matter if the child is gnawing, but not eating anything. They will start consuming as they get better at it and at their own pace. here is a website: http://www.babyledweaning.com/

Re: Can someone pleaze explain blw
Basically, it just means skip purees and go right to table foods.
