Do you have twins that were born on different days?

My MIL is convinced that my twins will be born on different days. I think that would be sooo neat and it's hard not to believe her cause she told my I was going to get pg with twins before I knew I was pg...she had a dream i was....wierd hey

but then would they be twins? aren't twins babies that are born to the same mother on the same day lol.

Not to sound stupidly anal or anything, but I wonder how they would code (medical coding) a staggered triplet birth like that. Technically, since they are the product of the same gestation, they should still be coded as triplets.

My daughter was born at 11:57 pm, so, had she been a twin, she could have very well have had a sibling with a birthday one day later.

I worked as a nanny watching twins who were born 2 weeks apart and in different years (2000 and 2001). The boy was born at 25.5 weeks and was obviously very sick, so they decided that after he was delivered if "baby B" wasn't in distress they would try to stop the labor and keep her in as long as possible. To everyone's surprise she stayed inside 15 days after her brother was born. She was soooooo much healthier than him. By the way, they are both healthy 6 years olds now
