Another Baby Name Thread (Boy names)

We're stumped. For some reason I'm not "feeling" the right name like I did the first two, and it is starting to drive me nuts.
We want something unusual, and prefer something with some sort of meaning (both the kids love knowing where their names come from and are very proud of their names because of it). Any ideas? I need help brainstorming

Names we have on our list that we like (so you can see our "style") are:
Soren
Rowan
Arden
Evander
Artemas
Liam
Tavian (or Octavian, nn Tavian)
Avery

I love Tavian, but last name starts with a T (2 syllables) and don't think it sounds good together. In fact, I really love all these names, just nothing tells me any of them is this baby's name, you know?

Also... DH's name is Ian (form of John), his brother's name is Sean (form of John) and his dad's name is, well, John =). So we were also looking at the possibility of furthering that with another form of John, but not finding something we like... anyone know more variations of John that maybe I overlooked??

Thanks!!

I like Tavian to but since you say your last name starts with a T I would stay away from it.

DH LOVED Liam because it's a form of William, his name, but our last name starts with an L too and I'm just not a fan of that kinda corny to me.

DH's cousin just had a son and they named him Dylan and their last name is Dolan so it's Dylan Dolan. OY! Just sounds funny to me.

I like the idea of a variant of John since it seems to be pretty strong in the fam there.

Variants I can think of:

Eoin
Giovanni
Gianni
Janis
Jonas
Johannes
Jouni (isn't this the kids name from Spy Kids?)

Re: Another Baby Name Thread (Boy names)

Love your taste in names. I like Tavian a lot. Whatever your last name is... Tavian Thomas, Tavian Turner, Tavian Tully, it all sounds good to me. Other first names that sound similar to me:

Leander
Sovan
Alden
Calder
Orlando
Anders

For John-like names, how about:
Johann
Jan (pronounced Yan or Jan)
Jonas
Seamus (Shay-mus, not sure if that's an Irish form of John or not)
Josiah (Jeb, Jed, Josh, Joe)
Ivan or Evan (I think that's a Russian form of John)
Jacob
Joseph
Joshua
Jens
Jonathan
