MAJOR sleep issues with my 9 month old

The past two months, 9 month old DD has been sleeping beautifully in her crib. Her behavior as of these last two weeks has me ready to absolutely pull my hair out!

When bedtime arrives, she wants to nurse to sleep, but cant lay still. Has to constantly be kicking her leg, or playing with her clothes, or tugging all over my hair and shirt.

So, I lay her in her crib wide awake, and shes been good about going to sleep. But, after that, things get inky...

By midnight, shes wide awake and crying. I pick her up, nurse her, put her back. Back to sleep for just about an hour....if Im lucky. Then awake, nurse, back to the crib.
Last night was the worst. She woke up at 1am, and would NOT go back to sleep until 3am!!!! Just layed there babbling, or she'd close her eyes but be super restless (tossing and turning).

And heres the other hurdle. Somehow, shes managing to turn onto her belly when she rouses at night, but she WILL NOT go back to sleep on her tummy, and I guess cant figure out how to get back onto her back. Last night it happend 6 times in under 3 hours. So I was out of bed, down the hall, flipping her over each time. EXHAUSTING!

I guess it "could" be teething...but I dont see any of the gum redness or swelling that shes had with her other 3 teeth. No fever, nothing out of the ordinary. And I dont know WHAT to do about her getting on her tummy and not wanting to fall back asleep.

HELP!

I am sooooooo tired. And so is she.

If she's waking and just babbling, I'd just let her be. She's in a safe place and it doesn't sound like she really needs anything. Eventually, she will either go back to sleep on her tummy or flip herself over. I'm assuming she can flip that way by herself at other times.

She does cry sometimes, though. It changes like the wind.
And yes, she does flip from belly to back during the day...but at night its like she just allows herself to get upset, and onces shes bawling, she wont do anything.

Re: MAJOR sleep issues with my 9 month old

Iam having the same issue with my 9 month old dd. I have decided this is my 3rd week of this and it is enough. I feed her I change her and I make sure all her needs are met, I try to nurse her to sleep and if that dont work the crib it is. Some times she cries and cries and then goes to sleep.
But there are times it is more peaceful. This is the age where they are trying to be boss, If you let them have there head about it boss is what they will be and you will be so very tired all the time. I know I did this with my last one I am trying hard to this time be firm and it has started taking hold in 4 days. Good luck mom hugs,

Im pretty sure, yah. She sleeps about 11-12 at night, and then about 2 hours worth of naptime during the day.

Yep! She actually exclusively co-slept for the first 6 months. We only stopped because she has become a light sleeper, and just my husband or I turning over or coughing at night would wake her up and cause her to sleep poorly. Her quality of rest has been sooo much better since sleeping on her own. She also eats less at night.
