Rough Wool Question
Just got some brand new skully longies
but they are pretty rough in texture. Not sure of wool type - I'm sure I could ask her if needed. I haven't washed them yet - will that help? Is there any way to soften them up or is wool "unchangeable"?

Re: Rough Wool Question
If they've never been washed before, washing will definitely soften them up, especially if you're using lanolin in your wash. I've heard a lot of people say a conditioner soak will soften it up too but I never had much luck with that.

I'll wash them soon and see how they feel! Thanks!

Re: Rough Wool Question
I agree. I also had little luck with the conditioner soak...

Re: Rough Wool Question
I haven't tried a conditioner soak, but lanolin should help.

Re: Rough Wool Question
Conditioner works if you use conditioner for dry/damaged hair, other conditioners won't work. I have used it on Peace Fleece and it turns that into pretty much silk, but you have to allow to soak over night, not just a few hours.
