Ate Bad Food

Husband and I both had Denny's last night and I woke up with the runs and chills. Do I throw out any breastmilk I pump from now until x amount of time? I know you are supposed to breastfeed through illness but what if it's a stomach bug caused by something you ate?

Man, I am going to start eating that stuff. I swear.

I was mostly oky until I picked her up and she squirmed against my stomach. Nothing like trying to put down an infant, or hold her, and trying to empty the nearest container to catch hurl. Then having to put down a hungry baby to clean up. Poor little thing.

Yes, totally safe to keep bf with either food poisoning or stomach flu. Just make sure to wash your hands lots!

I came down with a bug last night, I was wondering the same thing. It was hard nursing her while in bed, I couldn't lay on my sides, I had to lay propped up with my arms above my head, but couldn't do that while holding her. When she started squirming to stay awake it was even worse.

Happened to me when dd1 was a month. Yuck. It can drag on a bit too... Most of the time there is nothing to do but wait it out.
