Re: Introducing Sippy Cup...

I think it's one of those "just keep trying" things... at least it is for us!

Re: Introducing Sippy Cup...

DS loves the Playtex straw sippy cups. It took him a few months to really get the hang of them though, but now at 11 months they are his favorite. And you never have to wean your baby off a straw!
Try putting some ice in the sippy cup, as soon as I did that DS started loving it!

Re: Introducing Sippy Cup...

my son is almost 8 months and since about 6 months we have tried to introduce sippy cups. I found one that he will take an ounce or two of formula from but then freaks out wanting his bottle. Im not trying too hard since he is still very young but I wonder if I need to try a couple different kinds or if he will one day magically just decide that he likes it

Re: Introducing Sippy Cup...

I had my twin boys completely off the bottle by 11 months....by 10 months they were only drinking 1 bottle a day and the rest of the day they had their formula in a sippy cup. I finally had to cut them off cold turkey. Try using formula....if it's something he drinks regularly then he might be more willing to drink it.

Re: Introducing Sippy Cup...

DS didn't start to get the sippy until just after 9 months. Ice in the water did the trick, he loves it! We have had the best luck with straw sippys, try the Playtex ones

Re: Introducing Sippy Cup...

Use a sippy cup with silicone spout and put formula in it. She will get use to very quickly.
