tips on the switch to milk?

I have a can and a half of powder formula left and want to switch to milk.... for how long do I need to mix milk/formula for him to adjust? I just don't remember what I did with DD!

Re: tips on the switch to milk?

We've been mixing for over a year and it didn't work. My son still prefers formula over milk. (some help I am) I would start with 25% and then increase it to 75% but you may just want to try it plain and see if that is ok. Some kids will take it no problem and others refuse.

My DD's both just went from formula to milk, no mixing involved.

Yeah, we didn't have to mix either - she took to it instantly.

Re: tips on the switch to milk?

We just transitioned DS over to milk. I started by giving him cows milk in a sippee to see if he'd drink it. He took a few sips a few times, but then we ended up mixing 25% milk/75% formula for 2-3 days, then we dropped it to 50%, and then just gave him milk.

With my first two boys I just gave them milk as soon as they turned one. They took it with no problems. That is what I'll try once ds3 is one. Good luck!

Ok thanks. we are about out of formula and he has had 1-2 oz of milk a day already, so I think I am going to make the switch.
