Just how "many" is many?

Currently we have 3 -10,8,8 months and 1 on the way =) would like another but will need more room!

I would say "many" start at 4. I am due with our 3rd and around here that's starting to push it. We had less than enthusiastic responses when we announced this pregnancy.

Sad! I imagine we'd get similar responses around here, though if we had a third right now.

I don't know! Lol! I am pregnant with #9 and it does not feel like we have a large family. It feels normal for us.

I think it also depends on the family you were raised in and whats "normal" in your area. I only have 2 friends with more than 2 kids. All other friends have 1-2 and we are expecting our 3rd. But I am one of 3 and my husband is 1 of 5 even though there are big age gaps and he was youngest by 10 years so felt like an only child at times.
My mom is one of 7 so I am used to a large extended family. I dont think we will feel like a big family until at least 4 +.

I say 4+ since most people nowadays have 2...maybe 3.... kids. Once you hit 4 you are definitely a "larger than average" family.

5 doesn't feel large to us. My grandfather is 1 of 8 and his aunt had 16! He and my grandmother had 6 and my aunt has 5 and my sister and uncle each have 3.

I'd say 4 or more but I'm from a family of 8 so 4 doesn't seem BIG to me. My husband is 1 of 2 so with our 4th on the way he is feeling like we are BIG!

The Lord willing, we will have more.

Almost everyone I know says 3 is a lot and 4 is many. I don't agree, I think 8 is a lot and 10 is many LOL!

I would like to have 6.

I have 3 under 6, and am 9wks with #4. DH is one of 3 and I am an only child. My Mother has one sister and my Father is an only child. FIL is one of 11 and MIL has one brother. One SIL has 3 and is DONE and the other SIL has none, and will never have any due to personal choice. DH and I are FAR from being done if we have our way, LOL. We get our first look at this babe on Friday.
