Diaper Swappers

Do I need a serger and a sewing machine? I want to be able to hem the bottoms and also eventually as I practice add things like pockets. Should I invest in a server as well as a sewing machine?

I will probably also make slings (I've done that before) and other projects. For example my daughter would like to make stuffed animals so suggestions on both machines are welcomed.

You can probably just turn and topstitch the longies. If you do get a serger, I would reccomend this Serger

Fancy running into you here! lol Hugs, girl. Yeah, you can do everything on a sewing machine, but sergers make life a lot easier. I do more than half of my sewing on a serger. The one I mentioned on FB I've had for over a year and it has yet to jam or skip a thread, etc. I got it on Amazon. It's not a top quality serger, but the cost matched my usage at the time and it's been absolutely perfect. I'll see if I can find the old pic of C in some longies I made last year. They were fleece monster longies.
