shipping a moby wrap

Anyone know if it would fit into a small flat rate box?

I'm sorry to say that I don't think with all that material it will fit in a small FRB as it's dimensions are equal to 3 DVDs stacked on top of each other (5 3/8" x 8 5/8" x 1 5/8". I would think a poly mailer maybe legal size might work? There was a post in carriers asking $18 for one that said that was pretty close to FFS so I think the bulk might make it pretty heavy/expensive to send . I'm interested to know I have one somewhere I thought of selling too!

Hehe, I realized after I posted this question that I was looking at the dimensions of one of the larger flat rate boxes. I did roughly weigh the moby and it's about 1.8lbs. I think I can ship it for under $9 (according to the usps site)

Yep, fold it down all pretty and slip it in. If I can fit 6 red edged prefolds in there, you can ship a moby in there.

Yay!!! Ok, now dumb question (because I never ship flat rate...I always use my own box). Can I just stop at the PO, pick up an empty FRE then go print off the shipping label (I'm out running errends)? Or do I have to pay for the FRE first?
