We have a BlendTec and LOVE it. I went back and forth on spending the money, but I haven't regretted it. Not only slightly cheaper than the VitaMix, especially, if you get it on sale, but also more compact. We can keep it on the counter, tucked under the overhead cabinets; the VitaMix was too tall for that.

I love it and use it to make baby food, peanut butter, smoothies, chop carrots, make oat flour, etc. It was worth it for us!
